CHARACTER NAME(S): Commander Allynbee Shepard of the Systems Alliance Navy Nicknames: Lyn, Shep CANON: Shepard's wiki link, she is specifically a mostly-Paragon Spacer/Soul Survivor. CANON POINT: Post Mass Effect 3, Synthesis ending.
How did your character die? Quite literally, she jumped into a beam of light that disintegrated her body to disseminate her biological and technological material creatures across her universe.
Does your character's canon have its own afterlife? Lyn doesn't know. Several people across her lifetime...s have been very religious. She won't admit it, but she hopes that if any of them are real, it would be The Sea that Thane Krios would speak of.
What are some of their favorite things? Lyn loves a lot, though rarely has the opportunity indulge in them. They include: music, cooking, reading. She also collected models of human naval ships from her time. Her favorite color is gold and she likes hamsters and similar rodents that are commonly pets.
Who are some of their favorite people? Wrex - Leader of the Krogan and a former mercenary Lyn holds in high esteem Jack - a former criminal, now teacher Tali - technology expert and Admiral Garrus - former security, vigilante and military leader Joker - Best damn pilot in the Alliance Navy. Grunt - created Krogan mercenary leader that Lyn affectionately jokes is her son. Vega - devoted soldier and N7 candidate that may have been...something with Lyn. Too bad about the war. And the military regulations. Kaidan - an impressive soldier. Lyn's mostly amicable ex.
There are also those that she has lost: Ash - fellow military brat. Shared love of poetry. Died on Virmire, after Lyn elected to save Kaidan. Mordin - a genius scientist who sacrificed himself to correct a horrifying mistake he once made. Had to be him, someone else would have gotten it wrong. Lost on Tuchanka. Thane - a complicated, masterful assassin. Lyn's lover. Died helping to stop a coup. Lost on the Citadel. Anderson - An amazing mentor and excellent soldier. Lost on the Citadel.
What are they proud of from their life? She's exceedingly proud of most of her military record, particularly her help in curing the genetic weapon used on the Krogan and fighting a reaper ON FOOT and winning. She also holds the moment Captain Anderson told her that he was proud of her in high esteem. (I'm sure this won't be relevant later.)
What do they dislike? She hates being cold, and doubly hates snow. She also hates feeling embarrassed and will not react well to anyone who makes her feel that way. She also hates olives and food that is too mushy.
Do they have any enemies, or anyone they particularly hate? Kaidan is complicated, she cares about him and respects him as a soldier but Horizon left an extremely poor taste in her mouth and she doesn't trust him the same way.
Kai Leng and The Illusive Man are two of the worst that humanity has had to offer the universe and Lyn is not sorry that she had to neutralize either of them.
Saren is someone she pitied, even as she fought him at every step of his plan to assist the Reapers.
What are they afraid of? She's afraid of failing and disappointing people. More concretely, suffocating or air deprivation is now actively terrifying - even though it is something that she has experienced in training.
Do they have any regrets from their life? Lyn believes she failed Ashley, the Reaper attack on Earth haunts her, and she generally has mixed feelings about having been so effective during her time with Cerberus.
